Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10/29/2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Color Confidence LLC ("Color Confidence," "I," "me") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit my website at colorconfidencenow.com or my course school on Teachable, buy a course or digital product, or fill out a form. Color Confidence is a one-person business, so I've written this in plain language. If anything is unclear, email me at andy@colorconfidencenow.com.
1. Who handles what
My website runs on Squarespace, and my course school runs on Teachable. Each platform hosts its site, runs its own checkout, and collects some information directly under its own privacy policy: Squarespace's and Teachable's. This policy covers the information I collect myself and how I use what those platforms share with me. For anything handled on Teachable, if this policy conflicts with Teachable's, Teachable's policy takes precedence.
2. Information I collect
Purchase details. When you buy a palette PDF or guide on my website, Squarespace shares your name, email address, billing details, and order with me. When you enroll in the course, Teachable shares your name, email address, IP address, and what you purchased. I can see order details such as the date, price, and any coupon used.
Payments. Payments on both sites are processed by Stripe through my own Stripe account. Stripe shows me limited payment details, such as your card type, the last four digits, and your billing location, but I never see your full card number.
Course activity. Teachable shows me which lessons you've completed and any comments or questions you post in the course.
Beauty Guide form. At the end of the course, a Google Form asks for your email address and your color season so I can send you your Seasonal Beauty Guide. It also asks an optional question about your sun sign. I use those answers only in aggregate, out of personal curiosity about patterns between seasons and signs. You can skip it.
Email list. If you sign up for a free resource (like the 5-Minute Undertone Finder) or my emails, I collect your name and email address through Kit, my email provider.
Messages. If you email me, I keep that conversation so I can help you.
Cookies. Squarespace and Teachable use cookies to make their sites work, keep you logged in, and measure site traffic, such as which pages are visited. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Learn more in Squarespace's Cookie Policy and Teachable's Cookies Policy.
3. How I use your information
To give you access to the course and deliver what you bought, including emailing your download links, Beauty Guide, and palette files
To answer your questions
To share course comments or questions on social media and in marketing, without your name or photo unless you give written permission
To send course-related messages, such as receipts, access details, and important updates
To send marketing emails, only if you've signed up for them. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
To improve my website and course, using overall trends rather than individual details
To keep my website and school secure, prevent fraud and account sharing, and meet my tax and legal obligations
4. How I share your information
I don't sell or rent your personal information, and I don't share it for targeted advertising. I share it only with the services that help me run the business:
Squarespace: my website, online store, checkout, and download delivery
Teachable: my course school, its checkout, and course delivery
Stripe: payment processing, under Stripe's own Privacy Policy (stripe.com/privacy)
Google Workspace: the Beauty Guide form, its response sheet, and the email that delivers your guide
Kit: my email list, if you join it
I may also share information if the law requires it, to protect my rights or someone's safety, or with a buyer if the business is ever sold. That buyer would be bound by this policy.
5. How long I keep it
I keep your information for as long as you have access to the course or stay on my email list. I keep purchase records as long as tax and accounting rules require. Beauty Guide form responses are kept until you ask me to delete them.
6. Your choices and rights
Emails: Unsubscribe anytime using the link in any marketing email. You'll still get emails about purchases you've made.
Access, correction, deletion: Email me at andy@colorconfidencenow.com to see, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you. I'll respond within 30 days. Deleting your information may end your course access, and some purchase records must be kept for tax purposes. To delete your Teachable account itself, you can also contact Teachable.
Where you live: Depending on your location (for example, the EU, UK, or certain U.S. states), you may have additional privacy rights. I'll honor reasonable requests no matter where you live, and I won't treat you differently for making one.
7. Students outside the United States
I'm based in the United States, and my service providers store data in the U.S. and other countries. If you're in the EU or UK, I process your information to fulfill my agreement with you (delivering your purchase), with your consent (marketing emails and the optional sun sign question), for my legitimate interests (running and improving the business), or to meet legal obligations.
8. Security
I use reputable services with strong security, keep my own accounts secured, and limit access to your information to what I need. No system is perfectly secure, so I can't guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
My website and school aren't intended for children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given me personal information, email me and I'll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If I update this policy, I'll change the date at the top. If the changes are significant, I'll let customers know by email.
